Top
of the Line Equipment
Safety
is of utmost importance in the DFL. In order
to protect players and reduce the possibility
of injury, all equipment is inspected and
certified on an annual basis. All helmets
are either new or factory reconditioned every
year. The DFL is committed to providing equipment
of a quality that is equal, if not superior,
to high school football programs.
Personal Attention
The DFL makes every attempt to
form teams between 15 and 18 players. This promotes maximum participation
and allows the coaching staff to provide individual instruction when
necessary. Every player is guaranteed a starting position for the entire
game on either offense or defense providing they adhere to practice
attendance and participation guidelines.
Excellent
Coaching and Officiating
All coaches are screened prior
to selection. Head coaches are trained and certified by the National
Youth Sports Coaching Association (NYSCA). Each game is officiated by
trained officials that are typically Jr. or Sr. High School certified
officials.
Reasonable
Cost
Sound financial management and the generosity of
area businesses as sponsors have enabled the
DFL to keep participation fees as low as possible
while still promoting a safe, quality program.
